The Préville Fine Arts Centre is excited to take part in the city of Saint-Lambert’s 5th edition of the Rentrée culturelle!
Open Houses and Variety Show
In October, culture takes pride of place in Saint-Lambert, as the city hosts the 5th edition of their Rentrée culturelle! This city-organized event invites cultural organizations in the area to present concerts, lectures, workshops and performances during a month dedicated to showcasing Saint-Lambert’s vital local cultural scene.
The Préville Fine Arts Centre is very pleased to be hosting three events during the Rentrée culturelle: an Open House at the Préville Fine Arts Centre, an Open House at the Préville Dance Academy and a FREE variety show featuring young musicians from the Préville Fine Arts Centre and dancers from the Préville Youth Company and Préville Dance Academy competition teams.
Open House at the Préville Fine Arts Centre
On Saturday, October 21, from 9am to 11am, the Préville Fine Arts Centre will host an Open House at Collège NDL (845 rue Tiffin in Longueuil). All ages are invited to take a tour and/or drop in for a FREE embroidery workshop and/or art activity.
In addition, young children and a caregiver are invited to try our Intro to Music classes for FREE:
Intro to Music Class Schedule
9am-9:45am for 1 to 2 year olds
11am-12pm for 2 to 4 year olds
Visitors are invited to enter by Door #2 (on Tiffin). Stop by the welcome desk for tour information and for details about the FREE activities.
Open House at the Préville Dance Academy
Also on Saturday, October 21, from 10:45am to 1pm, the Préville Dance Academy will be hosting an Open House at their studios located at the St-Lambert United Church, (415 Mercille, Saint-Lambert).
Come ready to dance! The Dance Academy will be offering three classes for children to try!
FREE Classes Include:
- Mini Hip Hop (10:45am-11:30am)
For 5 to 6 year olds - Ballet-Jazz (11:30am-12:30 pm)
For 7 to 9 year olds - Breakdance (12:30pm-1:30pm)
For 7 to 9 year olds
While you’re there, be sure to stay and watch the Préville Youth Company in rehearsal from 12pm-1pm.

Variety Show – Two Showtimes!
Additionally, on Monday, October 23rd, the Préville Fine Arts Centre will be putting on a variety show at the Multi-Purpose Centre (81, Hooper Street).
On the programme: dance performances by the Préville Youth Company, Junior Competition Team and soloists (several dance styles), as well as musical performances by talented Préville students, and featuring some of our amazing staff.
There will be two showtimes: 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are FREE but due to limit seating, they must be reserved in advance.
