South Shore Children's Chorus
We are very excited to announce that the South Shore Children’s Chorus is now under the management of the Préville Fine Arts Centre!
The South Shore Children’s Chorus (SSCC), a choir for children and youth aged 8-17, is a bilingual community committed to the musical development of youth through singing and performance in an ensemble. While learning proper vocal technique, choristers get to surround themselves with other people their age who are equally passionate about musical performance.
The South Shore Children's Chorus
The choral experience is a great way for youth not only to develop musical skills, but also to learn cooperation and communication while having fun and making friends for life! There is nothing more rewarding for young singers than working together towards the common goal of creating a meaningful and beautiful product that they can share with their families and the world.

Meet the Choir pianist
Jono Devey is a Japanese-Canadian pianist who has dreamed of becoming a pianist since his first lessons at age 5. Growing up in Tokyo, he later moved to Canada and earned a bachelor’s of music from the University of Victoria, B.C. and a master’s from McGill University with Stephane Lemelin. He is currently continuing his studies at McGill with Ilya Poletaev. While his focus is on the solo piano repertoire, he feels equally at home in chamber and vocal ensembles, choirs, and orchestras.
Jono has won awards in piano at the local, provincial, and national level. He has spent many summers in Europe working with renowned teachers including Arie Vardi, Boris Berman, Robert Levin, Andre Laplante, Ronan O’Hora, and Helmut Deutsch.
