Anniversary Year!
Préville Fine Arts Centre Summer Day Camp celebrates its 30th anniversary!
We are thrilled to be offering an in-person Summer day camp again this year. We’ve decided to celebrate our long history at the same time that we celebrate our return to learning together in the classrooms and outdoor facilities at College Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in Longueuil (St-Lambert adjacent) — our Summer day camp home.
What’s New
There are some new things to note this year:
- In order to offer more flexibility to families, sessions are now one week long.
- The camp will comply with all COVID-related regulations, to help keep campers and staff safe.
- Finally, past participants will be happy to note that our registration process is simpler than ever before!
We are proud to continue offering high-quality, arts-based programming taught by adult professionals. Camp is an ideal opportunity to try out a new skill or instrument in a relaxed, fun, group-class setting.
Camp Programs
Initiation Program (5-6 years old)
The Initiation Program consists of daily classes in art and music, along with physical activity and outdoor fun. These campers are assigned to a group of friends for the whole week. They go to their activities together and eat together in their own designated area.
Initiation Campers will be contacted to choose English-only or French-only groups, if they wish.
Préville Campers (7-12 years old)
Older participants who are 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old get to create their own camp schedule! Choose four from a variety of bilingual activities, including dance, piano, violin, art, voice, drama, outdoor games, robotics and a lot more! Préville Campers who wish to take classes with friends should coordinate to choose the same activities in the same time slots.
All campers will enjoy a midday choral session and fun, supervised lunch activities.
Lilah loved the camps and was engaged with the activities. Instructors were enthusiastic and kind. Thank you!
– Jenn (Lilah’s mom)
Both the art and Robot in a Can program were amazing and Tom was always looking forward to them.
– Dan (Tom’s dad)
Daycare Services
At registration, parents can choose to sign their campers up for our reasonably-priced daycare service, which runs before camp from 7:30am-9am and after camp from 3pm-6pm.
Our daycare is designed to be an extension of the camp day, with adult supervisors and engaging activities.
This Year we Celebrate a Very Special Teacher!

Sandra Poirier, our sewing and fashion arts teacher, will be offering sewing as an option to Préville Campers this summer!
We celebrate Sandra, one of our most popular teachers, as she was on staff for Préville’s inaugural camp! Young fashion designers should be ready to choose sewing as an activity option when they receive their forms by email!
The Belva Thomas Bursary
If you, or someone you know would like to attend the camp but do not have the financial means to do so, we encourage you to take a look at our Belva Thomas Bursary program, to learn more and to apply. Last year our bursary program was responsible for allowing over 30 children to participate in our online camp. We feel that all kids deserve the opportunity to benefit from our experienced and enthusiastic staff, as well as our enriching, arts-based programming.
We are Hiring!
Préville Summer day camp is hiring! We are looking for dynamic individuals who are 18+ to teach and monitor. If you have experience in the arts, music, child care or sports, we’d love to meet you! Please contact us by email.
