Robot in a Can

Ages 7 and up

In this workshop series, students build their own robots and bring them to life using the programs they write. Each week, our facilitators lead fun and exciting activities that teach the basics of design thinking, computer science, and electronics.

Challenge any learner with coding fundamentals. Our visual drag-and-drop interface is a serious introduction to computer science. When paired with our robotics kit, feedback is immediate, allowing students to see their code in action and iterate quickly.

We introduce the basics of circuitry and attach various sensors to their robots. They measure real word data such as soil humidity, distance, and temperature. Students get to combine their new skills and pursue their own projects of interest using easy to find household materials. Each student will be supplied with a laptop computer and workshop materials. All materials are included, and the series includes your very own ‘Robot n a Can’ kit that you can use at home too!
