For Group Classes and Préville Online! Activities
If you are unable to attend your course, please advise your teacher in advance. Courses missed by the student cannot be made up or refunded.

- Talk with your teacher regarding any questions or concerns.
Discontinuing a Group Class or Préville Online! Activity
If you are unable to continue taking the course, please contact the Centre at least 48 hours prior to your regularly scheduled lesson. Notice given to the teacher alone is not sufficient. If a student has attended more than 2 classes, the course is not refundable.*
*Some exceptions may apply – please contact us for more details.
FOR INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Should you need to cancel a lesson, please contact your teacher directly, or the Centre at 450.671.2810 by phone, or info@centrepreville.org by email, being sure to give a minimum of 48 hours notice. Make-up lessons may be available, only at the discretion and availability of the teacher. Individual arrangements may be made in the case of a prolonged illness.
Should your teacher require the cancellation of a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a time mutually convenient to both you and your teacher. If a mutually convenient time cannot be found, a credit will be applied for that lesson.
Student Responsibilities
- Arrive on time.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward your teacher and the other students.
- Talk with your teacher regarding any questions or concerns.
- Practice daily.
Practice
For success with a musical instrument you will need a weekly lesson and regularly scheduled practice time. Minimum practice sessions are 15 minutes every day for beginners. Your teacher will make further recommendations.
- Set aside a regularly scheduled practice time each day. Do not leave practicing to chance.
- Expect to repeat difficult sections at least 4 or 5 times.
- Merely playing one’s music through once does not constitute practicing.
- Practice daily.
- Practice slowly and carefully, concentrating on the work at hand.
- Remember that your teacher is there to help. All questions are important!
In order to be part of the Préville Fine Arts Centre, students must agree to above mentioned cancellation policies and student responsibilities.
